I've Seen a Lot of the World. I'd Love to See the Rest With You.

I'm Steve. I'm 39, originally from New Jersey (USA), and I've spent much of my adult life building the freedom to explore the world and live a little differently.

I've traveled through dozens of countries, driven across continents, built and sold businesses, and collected more stories than I could possibly fit onto one website.

But somewhere along the way, I realized there's something I still want more than another stamp in my passport: someone I genuinely love to share the experience with.

That's why I created this website.

“Maybe this is an unconventional way to meet someone. But I've never been particularly conventional.”

About Steve

A Not-So-Conventional Story

I've never lived a particularly conventional life.

I grew up in New Jersey, left school at ten, and spent several years being homeschooled by my grandfather. He was one of the most important people in my life, and I was fortunate to have him.

When I was thirteen, I learned that my mother had cancer and wasn't going to survive. Between seventeen and twenty-three, I lost several of the people closest to me, including my grandfather and eventually my mother. I've experienced more losses in recent years, too. I don't have much family left today, but I loved the family I had deeply, and those experiences shaped the way I think about life, time, and the people we share it with.

The Road That Brought Me Here

I started working at fourteen. From then until I was thirty, I worked almost continuously, often seven days a week. A lot of that drive came from wanting to build a secure future for myself. I knew what it felt like to worry about what might happen if I didn't.

Eventually, I built a successful business and sold it at thirty. That gave me something I'd worked toward for years: the freedom to live life on my own terms, explore the world, and spend my time doing things that matter to me.

I sometimes wonder how many people who know me today would see me differently if they knew everything that came before this chapter of my life.

They see someone traveling the world, enjoying life, and doing things a little differently. They don't necessarily see the years of hard work, the uncertainty, the sacrifices, or the people I lost along the way. I'm proud of the life I've built, but there's a lot more to my story than the life I get to enjoy today.

And while I've been fortunate enough to experience some extraordinary things, I never expected to be thirty-nine and still searching for the person I'd spend my life with.

I've had relationships, I've loved, and I've learned a lot about myself and what matters to me. I don't regret the path my life has taken, but I do wish I'd found the right person to share more of it with.

Because as much as I love the freedom I have today, I don't want the rest of my life to be a collection of experiences I only share through photographs and stories afterward. I want someone beside me for the adventures, the ordinary days, the unexpected turns, and all the little moments that eventually become a life together.

I've spent years building a life I love. Now I'd love to find someone to share it with.

Relationship style

How I Love

I believe in mutual consideration: your happiness should matter deeply to me, and mine should matter just as much to you. I value honesty, loyalty, and being someone you can depend on. I'm affectionate and romantic, and I love closeness: holding hands, cuddling on the couch, falling asleep next to each other.

When we disagree, I'd rather talk it through calmly and directly than let it linger, though I'll always respect a request for a little time and space. What I hope neither of us ever does is use silence or distance as a punishment.

One thing I've learned about myself: I tend to accommodate the people I love readily, and I can feel hurt when the things that matter most to me aren't reciprocated. I'm working on speaking up sooner. I'm not looking for someone to give up who she is for my lifestyle. I'm looking for genuine compatibility, mutual respect, and two whole people choosing each other.

Adventures

The World Has Been My Classroom

I've been fortunate enough to explore much of the world, sometimes for weeks and sometimes for years at a time.

Travel has taught me patience, adaptability, curiosity, and how much we can learn from people whose lives are completely different from our own. And while I love the independence that comes with exploring the world, I think many of those experiences would be even better shared with someone I love.

Overland Through the Americas

Between 2022 and 2024, I drove through much of North, Central, and South America in my Toyota 4Runner. I've explored remote places, crossed countless borders, met fascinating people, and learned that some of the best experiences happen when things don't go according to plan.

Africa, Toward Europe

More recently I've been exploring Africa with an eye toward eventually driving into Europe. Stories and photos from the road are coming soon.

Curiosity

Always Up for Something New

One of my favorite things about arriving in a new city or town is discovering everything it has to offer. I love hiking and exploring nature, finding amazing rooftop bars, taking cooking or dancing classes, meeting new friends, and experiencing different cultures. I'm naturally curious, and if there's something I haven't tried before, chances are I want to try it! Whether it's an outdoor adventure, a spontaneous night out, or something completely unexpected, I love making the most of every place I visit.

The experiences are the easy part. Having someone to share them with is what makes them memorable. If you're curious about the next thing and happy to say yes to it, we'll get along just fine.

My favorite kind of adventure? Something I've never done before, with someone I love.

The everyday kind of love

It's Not Just About the Big Adventures

It's easy to talk about the extraordinary things I'd love to experience with someone: exploring new countries, road trips without a strict itinerary, discovering beautiful places, and making memories around the world.

But I think the smaller moments matter just as much.

Laughing together over something ridiculous. Making dinner while music plays in the background. Finding a little restaurant we both love. Staying up late talking about everything and nothing. Being affectionate for no particular reason.

I want a relationship where we genuinely enjoy each other's company, whether we're somewhere extraordinary or doing absolutely nothing special.

Because eventually, even the most exciting adventures become memories. It's the person beside you who makes them meaningful.

Looking ahead

A Life We Build Together

I've worked hard to create a life with a tremendous amount of freedom, and I'd love to share it with the right person. I'm location-independent and can comfortably support a shared lifestyle without needing both of us to work. Not an extravagant one, but a free and full one.

I'm not looking for someone to simply step into a life I've already planned. I want someone with her own dreams, interests, and ideas so we can decide together what our future looks like.

01

The Next Few Years

Over landing through places we've never seen, extended stays in countries we fall in love with, sailing, and plenty of spontaneous detours. I'd also love to prioritize spending a couple of months each year catching up with family and friends.

02

Later On

A few places around the world that feel like home. Maybe an animal sanctuary, a small restaurant or bar, or something else we both care about. None of those details are set in stone.

03

Room for Both of Us

Your dreams and interests belong in this picture, too. I'd love to spend much of our time together because we enjoy it, with room for friendships, independence, and personal space.

04

A Happy Day at Home

An awesome way to spend our downtime: Wake up slow, coffee in bed followed by a mini-adventure in town. Maybe catch live music at a happy hour, come home and cook dinner together while dancing in the kitchen and drinking wine. Finish the night with a good movie then crawl into a warm bed in a cold room, together.

The freedom I've built gives us options. What matters most is finding the right person to share them with.

A little more about me

A Few Things You Should Know About Me

I can spend weeks exploring somewhere I've never been, but I'm equally happy spending a quiet evening at home with someone I love.

I've worked extremely hard for the freedom I have today, but I don't believe a person's worth is measured by their bank account.

I love spontaneity, but I also love having something to look forward to.

I value close friendships, meaningful relationships, and rich experiences more than collecting things.

I don't expect a perfect relationship. I want one where two people genuinely enjoy each other, communicate openly, and consistently choose to be on the same team.

I've had an unconventional life, but what I'm looking for is surprisingly simple: a best friend, a true partner, and someone to grow old with.

Compatibility

I'm Looking for My Favorite Person

I'm not searching for perfection, and I certainly don't claim to be perfect myself.

I'm looking for someone kind, affectionate, emotionally mature, curious about the world, and genuinely excited about building a life together. Mutual attraction matters to me, but so does being able to laugh together, talk about difficult things, and enjoy each other's company on an ordinary day.

I want us both to feel appreciated, wanted, respected, and free to be ourselves.

Warmth & Outlook

A positive outlook, empathy, and the emotional maturity to handle life's ups and downs together.

Trust

Honest, faithful, and dependable. Someone who respects the boundaries of a committed relationship.

Self-Assurance

Confident in who she is, with an independent adult life of her own and a family-oriented heart.

Chemistry

Mutual physical attraction and the kind of ease where you can just be yourselves.

My lifestyle is best shared with someone who has the flexibility and time to travel, whether through remote work, running her own business, or another arrangement that leaves room for adventures together. Financial responsibility matters to me; wealth or a high salary doesn't. I'd most naturally connect with a woman somewhat younger than me who doesn't have children. But above all I'm looking for the right person.

Marriage & Family

I've never been married, and I'm open to it with the right woman. If we get there, a prenuptial agreement is important to me. I see it simply as fair financial clarity and protection for both of us.

I lean toward a child-free life, but I'm open to having children or adopting with the right partner, after we've spent a couple of years building our relationship first. If we became parents, I'd take that responsibility seriously and want us to remain loving, affectionate, and connected as partners, too.

Where in the World Are You?

I'm not tied to any one city or country, so where you live isn't necessarily an obstacle. I'm much more interested in finding the right person than someone who happens to live nearby.

The short version

Why a Website?

I've tried dating apps, and while I've met some interesting people, I've found that sorting through countless profiles and conversations can be surprisingly time-consuming without necessarily leading to meaningful compatibility.

I figured there had to be a better way.

Rather than spending endless hours swiping, I thought I'd create a place where someone could actually get to know who I am, what my life looks like, and what I'm hoping to find.

I'm not looking for hundreds of matches. I'm looking for one extraordinary connection.

And if this slightly unconventional approach helps me find her, it'll be the best website I've ever built.

Introduce yourself

Maybe This Is Where Our Story Begins

If you've read this far and something about my story or the life I'm hoping to build resonates with you, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.

You don't need a perfect introduction. Just tell me a little about yourself, what caught your attention, and what you're hoping to find.

Whether you're around the corner or on the other side of the world, I'm open to discovering where a genuine connection might lead.

Your introduction is private and is never displayed publicly.
