Privacy Notice
Draft, to be reviewed by Steve before launch.
What I collect
When you send an introduction, I collect your first name, age, confirmation that you're 18 or older, city and country, email, preferred contact method, introduction, and agreement to private storage and contact. A phone number is required only if you choose phone or WhatsApp. You may also share a social media link or handle, what caught your attention about my story, and a photo. Those fields are optional. I store a hashed version of your connection's IP address to help limit spam. This is not a guarantee of anonymity. I don't ask for health information, ID documents, home addresses, or an exact location.
Why
So I can read your introduction and, if it feels right, reply to you. The IP hash is used to help prevent spam.
Where it's stored and who can see it
Introductions and photos are not displayed publicly. They are stored in the site's private database and private file storage, hosted by Lovable Cloud. I am the only person who reads introductions through the site's protected admin account, and I also receive a copy of each introduction in my private email inbox. Photos are viewed through temporary private links. The hosting provider also processes data to operate the service.
How long I keep it
I keep introductions and any submitted photos for up to 90 days after submission, then delete them from the site's active storage. I handle this manually. You can ask me to delete yours sooner at any time.
Removing your information
Send a message through the introduction form with “privacy request” and the email you used. I'll verify the request, remove your introduction and any photo from the site's active storage, and confirm by email. Deletion from active storage does not necessarily immediately remove provider backups or copies previously downloaded.
Cookies & tracking
The site's own code does not add advertising or visitor analytics tools. Browser storage is used for admin sign-in. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives connection information when your browser requests them. Hosting services may process technical logs and error reports to operate and protect the site.
International visitors
Visitors from many countries may write in. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights; contact me and I'll do my best to honor them. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable care to protect what you send.
